Description
This Victorian or Edwardian bloodstone fist charm is a little unusual, for a couple of reasons. It is not a figa, which was fairly common for the time, and clenched in the closed fist is a little inset crystal, which you can look at and see variations in the stone. I've seen similar charms where the viewable section is a scene, as the charm was a souvenir of the area. There is not visible scene, but given that Victorians were captivated by natural stones and specimen, this might have been a souvenir of crystal or other stone from a tourist area.
The bail and jump ring on this Victorian stone charm seem to be brass, and are not marked. The charm itself will look almost like ebony in some light, with a slight greenish tinge, but in full light tends to a dark mossy green.

This Victorian estate charm 21mm long without bail or jump ring (30mm with the bail and jump ring), 9mm at the widest point, and 6mm at the thickest point.

This vintage charm is in excellent vintage condition, with no damage or issues noted. It might slow slight marks or scratches that one would associate with a previously loved vintage item. No chips or cracks to the carving.
