This dainty 9 carat (karat) Victorian or Edwardian brooch features a crescent moon of seed pearls, a centre triad of two paste stones and a pearl, and some lovely milgrain and scrolls to add dimension to this vintage gold pin. The finish is a brushed gold and balances between ornamental elements and openwork. The two paste stones are a cobalt mid range of a blue, and a red stone that is between a ruby and a garnet in colour. The crescent moon is comprised of 11 tiny creamy seed pearls, and encircles the central paste stones.
Size:
43mm at the widest point
13mm at the tallest point
Condition: This dainty Victorian pin is light but well-crafted, with no major flaws noted to the piece. It does have the general wear and slight marks one associates with a previously loved vintage item along with the tarnish of its age. There is a slight dark mark on one of the back side of the scroll tip, and the pin itself might have been replaced somewhere in time, as the metal colour is different from the rest of the pin. The pin is marked on the back 9C for 9 carat or karat gold.

**Shipping Information**
Shipping costs are the cost of mailing an item, along with any necessary packing/packaging materials. If shipping costs seem high, sometimes they are. When estimating for the purposes of listing an item on Etsy, I have to list the most expensive possible shipping destination in a given country. More expensive items are shipped with tracking and insurance, which adds to the cost. If the difference between my shipping estimate and actual costs are greater than $2, I will refund you the difference.
If you are thinking of purchasing an item, contact me with your postal or mailing code, and I will check the precise shipping costs. For less expensive items (under $50), I am willing to ship by cheaper options, but please be aware that this can extend shipping times by 4 to 8 weeks for international shipping to some destinations, and can eliminate the ability to track or insurance the package.
In short, not turning a profit on postage, but need to cover the costs getting lovely jewellery from me to you!
