This fine vintage sterling silver and white pearl brooch is in a modern, Mikimoto-style and dates from the 1960s or 1970s. The surface of the silver alternates between brushed and polished finishes, and helps to highlight the quality of design and construction. The clasp is functional and secure, and even in the utilitarian elements, the same thoughtfulness of design is evident: the sharp end of the pin is completely enclose in a cone-shaped fitting. The back of the brooch is marked for sterling silver, and has a maker's mark (which is currently unidentified).
Size: The vintage brooch is 50mm at its longest point, and 20mm at its widest point.
Condition: This estate pearl and sterling silver is in excellent vintage condition, with no flaws or functional issues noted.
