This large, exquisitely made sterling silver 925 and turquoise brooch, is from the Golden Age of Mexico's silver production, and likely from the 1930s; from the markings on the back, it was produced earlier than 1948.

It is a large, beautifully fashioned bouquet of flowers spilling out from a cornucopia or horn of plenty shaped basket. The flowers and their leaves have striking detail and depth and the centre of each flower is adorned with a round 4-5mm turquoise cabochon. These turquoise stones are all nicely matched for colour and are a deeper turquoise blue. The open work design between the flowers keeps this brooch relatively light and airy for its size, so that it is not too physically or visually heavy.

Beautifully made, this vintage 1930s Mexican silver brooch is timeless and just so rich with detail. A wonderful vintage Mexican silver gem that I am still tempted to add to my own jewellery box! Hallmarked as sterling silver and made in Mexico.

Size: 2 1/2" by 2 1/2"

Condition: This vintage silver brooch is in excellent vintage condition, with no damage or flaws noted. The turquoise stones show no cracks and are a lovely rich blue shade. There is a fair amount of tarnish on the front and back of the brooch, which has been for the most part left, as part of the patina of this vintage Mexican silver and turquoise brooch.

**Shipping Information**

Shipping costs are the cost of mailing an item, along with any necessary packing/packaging materials. If shipping costs seem high, sometimes they are. When estimating for the purposes of listing an item on Etsy, I have to list the most expensive possible shipping destination in a given country. More expensive items are shipped with tracking and insurance, which adds to the cost. If the difference between my shipping estimate and actual costs are greater than $2, I will refund you the difference.

If you are thinking of purchasing an item, contact me with your postal or mailing code, and I will check the precise shipping costs. For less expensive items (under $50), I am willing to ship by cheaper options, but please be aware that this can extend shipping times by 4 to 8 weeks for international shipping to some destinations.

In short, not turning a profit on postage, but need to cover the costs getting lovely jewellery from me to you!
