I just love this estate rainbowy, abalone and sterling silver 925 Mexican leaf brooch! Made from a solid silver base, sterling silver is also used for detail work on the leaf brooch's surface, as well as the stem. The abalone shell inlay is really richly coloured and has gorgeous pinks and purples, along with aqua, seafoam, pale green, and turquoise. Like all abalone, the colours change with the light you're in, and it is bright and reflective, so it captures a lot of light.
The last pictures shows this beautiful silver brooch with a second 925 silver leaf brooch I have for sale, and while this one has a lot of pink, lavender, and purple tones, the other is much cooler, in shades of blues and greens. On the back of the pin, this vintage brooch is secured with a still functioning locking c-clasp.
Condition: This lovely 925 vintage Mexican silver brooch has some tarnish marks on the back, and there are a few bends to the pin, but overall the brooch looks good for its age. It shows some of the light wear or slight scratches one associates with previously loved vintage items. More pictures or closer pictures can be provided if you need them.
