This beautiful estate sterling silver modern brooch was made in Taxco, Mexico, likely in the 1960s. It is marked for 925 silver, as being made in Taxco, and with the maker's initials, CP. This modern silver brooch is large and reasonably heavy, weighing 14g. The design has traditional Mexican elements, but is beautifully executed in a modernist style. Measuring just under 2 3/4" tall, and 1 3/4" wide, it reminds me of a bird perched on a shield.
Condition: This vintage 925 silver Taco brooch is in great vintage condition, with just the light wear one expects of a previous loved vintage item. The clasp is fully functional, but as a note, the opening point is not when the mechanism is fully turned. More pictures or closer pictures can be provided if you need them.
